Abstract:
PURPOSE:To maintain excellent optical performance by reducing the size of the anamorphic lens which enlarges or reduce an image differently in the longitudinal and lateral directions and putting the lens in focus. CONSTITUTION:The optical device which has an anamorphic lens system on the object side of a main lens system for photography or on the screen side of a main lens system for projecting the image on a screen consists of a 1st lens group which has negative refracting power and a 2nd lens group which has positive refracting power horizontally from the object (screen) side; and the 1st lens group consists of a cylindrical lens which has a large-curvature concave surface on the side of the main lens system in horizontal section and also has negative refracting power and a cylindrical lens in a meniscus shape which is arranged at a relatively large interval with the 1st cylindrical lens and has a concave surface on the main lens system side and positive refracting power.
