PURPOSE: To construct a simple and compact image pickup device having the optical finder of a TTL system.

CONSTITUTION: A first and a second optical separating planes 21a, 21b are provided on a prism 21. A part of the rays of light incident from an image pickup lens is reflected at the first optical plane 21a and then guided to a first CCD 23. The light transmitted through the first optical separating plane 21a and reflected at the second optical separating plane 21b is guided to the first CCD 22. The light transmitted through the first and the second optical separating planes 21a, 21b is emitted from a prism 21 and reflected at mirrors 24, 29 and guided to a finder optical system 25.
