To prevent a movable part for correcting image blurs from colliding with the internal wall of a housing which supports the movable part and damaged, when a device is not in use by automatically locking the movable part, when the connection state of the device with a camera is interrupted and the device goes into a non-action state.
This device is provided with an image blur correction means correcting the image blur, by moving the movable part based on shake information, a lock means for locking the movable part at a prescribed position, a detection means for detecting the connection relation between the camera and the device, and a lock control means (steps 10→13→14) for positioning the movable part at a prescribed position by driving the lock means according as the detection means detects such that the connection state between the camera and the optical device is released.
