Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device capable of controlling a position of a lens group with high precision.SOLUTION: An optical device includes; a CPU 41 which drives a lens group in an optical axis direction; an LDPI 69 for detecting an absolute position of the lens group in the optical axis direction; a GMR sensor 87 for detecting a relative position of the lens group in the optical axis direction; and a storage unit 37 which stores first data representing output of the GMR sensor 87 corresponding to a predetermined position of the lens group and second data representing a target position for the lens group to stop. The CPU 41 drives the lens group to store the GMR sensor 87 output in the storage unit 37 as third data when a predetermined change takes place in the LDPI 69 output, lets the lens group perform a stopping motion to stop at the target position represented by the second data, and corrects the GMR sensor 87 output when the lens group stops in accordance with the first data, second data, and third data stored in the storage unit 37.
