Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve the simplification and the compact size of the constitution of an optical device, which detects a magneto-optical signal.
CONSTITUTION: In an optical device, which detects a magneto-optical signal, an optical element 1, wherein a light emitting part and a light receiving part are arranged in close proximity on a common substrate and returning light from a magneto-oprical medium 36 for receiving the emitted light from the light emitting part is received and detected by the light receiving part in the vicinity of a confocal point, and another photodetector 32 are provided. The returning light from the magneto-optical medium 36 is split. One returning light is received and detected with the light receiving part 5 of the optical element l, and the other returning light is received and detected by the other photodetector 32.
