Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable an optical head to be set to a terminal position in a short time by issuing a command signal for moving terminal position for a drive force control drive of an optical head traveling device and then controlling drive force of the optical head to be generated by the drive device until setting. CONSTITUTION:An optical head traveling device 2 drives a straight line shaped traveling path 1 with a drive force with is generated by a drive device 3. The device 3 generates the drive force with a drive control signal 101 of a drive force control device 5. The device 5 receives a terminal position traveling command signal 102 from a drive signal generation device 6 and then generates the signal 101. At this time, after the device 2 is pressed against a terminal buffer device 4, the device 6 controls the signal 102 so that an optimum drive force to be set is reached in a short time, thus enabling time until the optical head is set to a final setting position to be reduced.
