PURPOSE: To reduce the load of software for a computer by forming a large capacity memory and an editing circuit on an optical disc control device side.

CONSTITUTION: When data and a write indication are transferred from the computer to the optical disc control device, the indication is inputted to an I/O circuit 20 through an interface circuit 10 and the data are stored in the memory in accordance with the write indication. In the software of the computer, all data are written and then an editing indication is applied to the optical disc control device. When the editing indication is inputted to the editing circuit 30 through the interface circuit 10, the contents of the memory are edited in accordance with the editing indication and the software of the computer applies the write indication to the optical disc control device after edition. Receiving the write indication through the interface 10, the I/O circuit 20 outputs the write indication to an optical disc control circuit 50, which writes the data of the memory in an optical disc.
