Abstract:
PURPOSE: To operate a focus servo and a tracking servo stably even when an RF signal is unstable at the start of rotating a disc or in a focus searching.
CONSTITUTION: A switch 10 is provided between a defect detection circuit 5 which outputs a defect signal, a focus defect circuit 6 for removing a defect component from a focus error signal according to the defect signal and a tracking defect circuit 7 to removing a defect component from a tracking error signal according to the defect signal. When a frame synchronizing signal is omitted in excess of the time T, a synchronizing signal timer 11 turns OFF the switch 10.
