Title:
OPTICAL DISK DEVICE AND DATA-REPRODUCTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3941305
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device, in which error correction capability can be improved, even when more errors than supposed is produced for some cause, such as excessive dust, scratches, and the like on a disk of large capacity.
SOLUTION: An error correction circuit 8 performs de-inter-leave for reproduced data which is demodulated by a modulation/demodulation circuit 6 and recorded in a buffer memory 9 via a mediation circuit 7. Also the error correction circuit 8 performs error correction processing of this reproduced data with an error correction encoding block unit, selects user data by the processing result, and outputs it to the buffer memory 9. Then, the error correction circuit 8 performs error correction at reproduction for data, in which interleave is not performed.
