Abstract:

To realize a bus powered system optical disk drive capable of preventing communication information from being lost even when an interface cable is removed.

A cache function is turned off in the case of a bus powered system based on control information from a power source part 120 so that writing time lag caused by the cache function for the bus powered system can be prevented. Also, even when a cable 150 is removed, and a power source is turned off, information included in a cache memory 116 can be prevented from being lost.
