Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain address information in a recording block (an ECC block) by combining prepit synchronous signals of land prepits and prepit data.
SOLUTION: The tracks paired with wobbled grooves 3 and lands 4 existing between the adjacent grooves 3 are spirally or concentrically formed and auxiliary information to the information signals to be recorded in the grooves 3 are previously formed as the prepits 5 on the lands 4. When the recording block units are allocated to the information signals in correspondence to the prescribed number of the land prepits 5, the land prepits 5 constitute the prepit synchronous signals within the recording block units and the prepit data of pit strings and the prepit synchronous signals have plural kinds of synchronous signal patterns.
