Title:
OPTICAL DISK REPRODUCING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3412498
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device for operating efficient data transfer by saving the waste of the reproduction of the overlapped part of data from a CD-ROM by using the overlapped part of data at the time of the data storage, transfer, and abandonment of a buffer memory.
SOLUTION: The overlapped part and overlapped amount of data stored in a buffer RAM and data to be stored in the buffer RAM the next are detected (S12), and the overlapped part is left in the buffer memory (S15-S17), and the other part except for the overlapped part is abandoned from the buffer memory. Therefore, the waste of the reproduction of the overlapped part from a CD-ROM again can be saved, and a time required for storing data can be shortened (S18). Thus, efficient data transfer can be attained.
