PURPOSE: To make a stroke of a holder in focal direction smaller and to miniaturize a pick up by inclining the holder according to the movement of the holder from a neutral position to the focal direction.
CONSTITUTION: The holder 16 is inserted between coil substrates through a wire spring 14 in a suspension base 13. A light emitting part, an objective lens, and a light receiving part are contained in the holder 16. Then, when there is an inclination in a disk D, if the holder 16 has its position changed from the neutral position to the positive focal direction, the holder 16 is inclined to the outer periphery side of the disk D. If the holder 16 has its position changed from the neutral position to the negative focal position, the holder 16 is operated in reverse. Therefore, although compensation angle of the tilted servo is increased, the focal stroke is made smaller according to the distance from the tilted angle.
