Abstract:
To provide an optical disk substrate which comprises an aromatic polycarbonate resin and is a high-precision recording medium with a high transfer ratio.
This optical disk substrate is prepared by molding an aromatic polycarbonate resin prepared by using 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-methylpentane as the dihydric phenol component. The distance between groove lines or pit lines formed on the substrate is 0.17 μm-0.8 μm and is in the range of λ/8n-λ/2n (wherein λ is the wavelength of laser light used for recording and reproduction; and n is the refractive index of the substrate).
