Title:
OPTICAL DISK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH043368
Kind Code:

In a magneto-optical disk control circuit 3 of a magneto-optical disk device 1 which additionally records desired information data in a user recording area ARVSE on the disk 2, contents of the written sector flag area WSFZ are read out to a memory circuit 4 before recording of information data. Contents of the area WSFZ are searched to detect flags set to '0', and desired information data is written in an idle sector. The circuit 3 sets the flag value in the area WSFZ on the disk 2 to '1'.
