PURPOSE: To provide an excellent breaker with resistor free from any useless enlargement of a main contact part in order to merely support a resistor, capable of stably supporting the resistor by its small and simple construction, suitable for UHV and capable of contributing to make the whole of the breaker smaller and lighter.
CONSTITUTION: Two sets of main contacts 1, resistor contacts 2 and resistor 3 are provided in a sealed case 12 filled with insulating media. A conductive supporting structure 8 is disposed between the two main contacts 1 in the sealed case 12 and supported to the sealed case 12 via a first supporting insulator 4. The two sets of main contacts are supported on both sides of the supporting structure 8. The resistor 3 is divided into halves to be disposed and one-side ends of the two resistor 3 are supported to the supporting structure 8 via a second supporting insulator 5. The other-side end of the two resistor 3 are supported to the sealed case 12 via a third supporting insulator 6.
