To provide an optical drive type stereoscope facilitating the adjustment of a congestion angle, easily obtaining a desired stereoscopic image, capable of sufficiently restoring the shape by optically heating a shape memory coil, having a simple structure and suitable for making the stereoscope thin in diameter by changing the congestion angles of image guides linked with each other.

Two image scopes 1, 1 are arranged some interval apart, a movable part 2 movable in the longitudinal direction of the scope and two driving parts 3a, 3b holding the movable part while competing with each other, one end of an index wire 4 is connected to the movable part 2 and the other end is connected to a linkage wire 5 spreading over two image guides so as to change the two image guides 1, 1 while linking with each other. Either of two driving parts 3a, 3b is a shape memory coil having a taper in the longitudinal direction and an optical fiber 6 for irradiating the shape memory coil 3a with light is provided.
