Abstract:
PURPOSE: To observe the surface of a mold during the production forming and to efficiently form the element by providing the tip of a heat-resistant observation unit contg. an observing means for the upper and lower molds in the forming chamber in the forming device for press-forming an optical element with the upper and lower molds.
CONSTITUTION: An optical element 25 is press-formed by the upper and lower molds 7 and 8. In this forming device, the tip of the heat-resistant observation unit 9 contg. an observing means for the upper and lower molds 7 and 8 is airtightly inserted into the forming chamber 1 and made movable in the chamber 1.
