Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical encoder for achieving high performance without requiring accurate assembly and posture adjustment.
SOLUTION: In the optical encoder with a main scale 11 where a scale grid 11 is formed at a specific angle pitch along a measurement axis x1 for drawing an arc, and a detection head 2 where a light reception side optical grid 7 that relatively travels in the direction of the measurement axis x1 while being arranged opposite to the main scale 1, the light reception side optical grid 7 of the detection head 2 is provided with a straight-line grid arrangement axis x2, and transmission and non-transmission parts are arranged with a specific pitch along the axis x2.
