To provide optical equipment such that, while maintaining high efficiency, imparts directivity to a light beam emitted from a light source unit in which semiconductor laser and an optical fiber are employed.
The optical equipment is the one connected to a light source unit having an optical fiber for introducing a laser beam from a base end to inside and having a light emitting part installed at the tip end of the optical fiber and irradiated with the laser beam to emit diffuse beams. The equipment is equipped with an optical transmission element and a coupling member for fixedly coupling the light emitting part to a prescribed position on the base end of the optical transmission element. The optical transmission element is formed of a transparent body operating in the manner that, among the diffuse beams from the light emitting part fixed at the prescribed position, those diffusing within the range of a specific angle from the optical axis are made to directly reach the tip end face, while those diffusing beyond the specific angle are made to totally reflect inward on the side circumferential face and then to reach the tip end face, and that the diffuse beams are thereafter emitted outside.
