Abstract:
To enable appropriate setting of a scan range of a contrast AF in spite of existence of a variation in axial chrometic aberration.
The optical equipment 120 has control means 121, 136 which acquire focus evaluation values by moving a focusing lens in a scan range and move the focusing lens based on the focus evaluation values, and a light source discrimination means 135 which discriminates the light source to illuminate a subject. The control means changes the scan range according to the discrimination result of the light source. Also, the control means detects the color information of the subject and changes the scan range according to the color information.
