Abstract:
To provide an optical fiber amplifying device in which the structure is simplified and signal light loss is reduced.
A signal-wavelength optical multiplexing/branching filter 9 with four ports is connected between two amplifying optical fibers 2 and 8, the two ports of the optical multiplexing/branching filter 9 are connected to the two amplifying optical fibers 2 and 8, the other two ports of the optical multiplexing/branching filter 9 are connected to two exciting lasers 3 and 4, exciting light projected from the exciting lasers 3 and 4 are made to impinge on the amplifying optical fibers 2 and 8, and signal light passing through the amplifying optical fibers 2 and 8 is amplified.
