Abstract:
To provide an optical fiber cable, in which the flexible rigidity is improved and a discontinuity accident is reduced.
The optical cable 10 is such that a tensile strength member 20 and a coated optical fiber 11, which are arranged in parallel to each other are integrally coated with a plastic material, the cross sectional figure of the tensile strength member 20 is of a flat shape, and the tensile strength member 20 is so arranged that the long diameter D1 of the tensile strength member 20 is substantially orthogonal to a line, connecting the center P0 of the coated optical fiber 11 and the center P1 of the tensile strength member 20.
