To improve discriminability in extracting a specific optical fiber communication line from a plurality of optical fiber communication lines stored inside a cable.
An optical fiber cable comprises: a slot core 11 including two slot grooves 12a and 12b which store coated optical fibers (optical fiber communication lines) 13a and 13b inside; a sheath 14 covering a periphery of the slot core; and two tension members 15 embedded inside of the slot core. The two tension members 15 are arranged on a Y-axis passing a center of the cable O, and the slot grooves 12a and 12b are arranged on the outer side on the Y-axis. The two slot grooves are formed as straight grooves which extend linearly along a longitudinal direction of the cable, and the one slot groove 12a and the other slot groove 12b store the coated optical fibers 13a and 13b which have different colors for example.
