Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connection structure in which, when a single-mode optical fiber and a multimode optical fiber are connected, generation of differences in intensity of light can be suppressed in an emitting end face of the multimode optical fiber.SOLUTION: An optical fiber connection structure 10 comprises a connection part 11 between one end 20a of a single-mode optical fiber 20 and one end 30a of a multimode optical fiber 30. The one end 30a of the multimode optical fiber 30 is formed to be a tapered part 33 gradually reduced in diameter toward a side of the connection part 11. The tapered part 33 is inclined relative to a center axis line Cof the multimode optical fiber 30 so that a center point 33b of a tip end face 33a in the tapered part 33 is not superimposed upon the center axis line Cof the multimode optical fiber 30.
