Title:
OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3200735
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the free deflection or non-deflection of the optical fibers within an optical connector.
SOLUTION: This optical fiber connector includes two optical connector plugs A, B and an adapter C interposed in their fitting. Each of the two optical connector plugs consist of the plural optical fibers, an outer block member 51 holding these optical fibers and an another outer block member 52 attachable and detachable to and from this outer block member. The adapter consists of an aligning member 6 for accepting and aligning the front ends of the optical fibers and the outer block member for holding this aligning member. At the time of fitting, the deflection of only the optical fibers in the one plug of the two optical connector plugs is generated. The portions of another outer block member to be brought into contact with the optical fibers is preferably formed of an elastic member.
