To provide an optical fiber cord of a low cost with which the sticking of reinforcing fibers around a coated optical fiber does not occur, the occurrence of cracks is suppressed and the workability during connection is excellent.

A coating layer 4 of the optical fiber cord 10 consisting of the coated optical fiber 5 provided with the coating layer 4 on the circumference of an optical fiber 1, a plurality of the reinforcing fibers 6 longitudinally attached thereto and a sheath 7 for coating such coated optical fiber (5) and the reinforcing fibers 6 consists of a UV curing resin containing a reactive silicone resin. The reactive silicone resin is preferably polydimethyl siloxane and the UV curing resin is preferably a UV curing urethane acrylate case resin.
