PURPOSE: To extremely easily exclude an optical fiber wound on a dummy winding drum after completion of winding by one process by internally providing a cutter protruded outside of a winding circumference through a narrow clearance and pulled back into the winding circumference.
CONSTITUTION: When a cutter 4 built in an optical fiber dummy winding drum 1 is protruded out of a winding circumference through a narrow clearance 3, an optical fiber of several turns wound on the dummy winding drum 1 is extremely easily folded. Further, as the optical fiber is plurally cut by folding, it can be easily separated and fallen from the dummy winding drum 1. Thus, two processes consisting of the process for removing the optical fiber from the dummy winding drum 1 and the process for cutting off an excessive optical fiber from a winding bobbin can be substituted by one process of protruding the cutter 4 out of the winding circumference through the narrow clearance 3, and the working property can be remarkably improved.
