Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid jamming during unwinding and rewinding of a coil of an optical fiber in an optical fiber feeder.SOLUTION: A feeder for feeding an optical fiber 10 from a coil 20 and rewinding an unused optical fiber 10 is provided. The coil 20 is inserted into a support body 21. The support body 21 includes a shaft 22 for a coil, and the coil 20 is rotatable about the shaft 22. A flexible tube 23 acts as a load for avoiding a spring return effect of the metal-coated optical fiber 10. The flexible tube 23 is fed through the flexible tube 23 as a guide for the metal-coated optical fiber 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
