Title:
OPTICAL FIBER GYROSCOPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06235641
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an optical fiber gyroscope which increases a control band and is suitable for miniaturization without generating any drift due to scattering of light by suppressing the influence of frequency noise of intensity noise.

CONSTITUTION: The high corenent light of a semiconductor laser 1 is modulated by a frequency f1 which is much larger than the half-value total width of a ring-type Fabry-Perot resonator 6, an EO modulator 3 is introduced into an optical fiber waveguide path for suppressing the carrier frequency component for the counterclockwise traveling light, clockwise and counterclockwise traveling light which is resonated by the ring-type Fabry-Perot resonator 6 is emitted and detected, and then synchronization detection is made. One detection output is input to a frequency stabilization circuit 9, thus fixing and controlling the frequency of a semiconductor laser to a resonance frequency. A gyro output is obtained from a DBM 13.
