Abstract:
To provide an optical fiber capable of suppressing mode interference.
An optical fiber 10 is provided with: a core 11; a first clad 12, which is arranged to cover the core 11 and has a refractive index lower than that of the core 11; and a second clad 13, which is arranged to cover the first clad 12 and has a refractive index lower than that of the first clad 12. The first clad 12 is doped with a light attenuation dopant such that the concentration increases from the inner circumference side toward the outer circumference side.
