Abstract:
To collect and reuse deuterium containing gas while suppressing the enlargement of an apparatus.SOLUTION: An apparatus for treating an optical fiber includes: a treatment tank for storing an optical fiber in the inside; a gas supply device for supplying deuterium containing gas to the treatment tank; a pump for sucking the deuterium containing gas in the treatment tank; a pressure increase unit for increasing the pressure of the deuterium containing gas exhausted from the pump; and a pipeline for supplying the deuterium containing gas having a pressure increased by the pressure increase unit to the treatment tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
