Abstract:
To enable measurement of a correct BFS by automatically changing a BFS offset in a BOTDR device.SOLUTION: An optical fiber strain measurement device comprises: a light source section for generating probe light; a wavelength control section for receiving an input of back-scattered light to be generated by the probe light in an optical fiber to be a measurement object and outputting a back Brillouin scattered light included in the back-scattered light; a self-delay interferometer for generating a measurement signal to which the back Brillouin scattered light is input; and a signal processing section. The signal processing section comprises: means for generating measurement result data including optical fiber strain data from the measurement signal; and means for changing a BFS offset amount when a standard deviation of a BFS exceeds a threshold and also when signal loss of an area where the standard deviation exceeds the threshold is equal to or less than allowable loss.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
