Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film optical film that excels in physical properties (ultraviolet absorption, surface roughness performance), an optical film manufacturing method that excels in dope stability and continuous production suitability, and a polarizer, equipped with the optical film, that excels in light fastness (ultraviolet resistance).SOLUTION: The optical film contains a cycloolefin resin, an ultraviolet absorber, and a matting agent, in which (A) the cycloolefin resin is a polymer consisting of a cycloolefin monomer having a structure represented by general formula (A), (B) the total content of the ultraviolet absorber and matting agent is within a range of 3.0-10.0 mass%, (C) the content of the matting agent is within a range of 0.10-5.00 mass%, (D) the value of mass radio of the ultraviolet absorber to the matting agent is 1.00 or greater, and (E) the film thickness is within a range of 3-30 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
