Abstract:
To provide an optical film and a manufacturing method of the optical film capable of preventing peeling of a polarizer when used as a polarizing plate protection film, deterioration of a polarizer under durable conditions of moisture and heat, and deterioration of slidability and haze (especially, internal haze) affecting conveyance properties of a film.SOLUTION: An optical film containing an organic fine particle, and a polymer comprising an alicyclic hydrocarbon monomer having at least a polar group, or a polymer comprising at least a (meth) acrylic monomer contains a surface-active agent within a range of 0.01 to 1 ppm, the organic fine particle contains a polymer comprising at least a (meth) acrylic monomer, solubility of the surface-active agent to ethanol at 23°C is 0.2 to 10 mass%, solubility to dichloromethane is less than 7 mass%, and solubility to water is equal to or more than 7 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
