Abstract:

To provide an ultraviolet ray absorbing optical film which has an ultraviolet part absorption characteristic sufficient for optical film use, hardly causes coloring upon heating processing and, further, is excellent in kneading property with cellulose acetate resin.

The optical film comprises: a specified ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer prepared by an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a nitrogen-containing part structure in the molecule; and a specified ultraviolet absorber containing nitrogen. When the spectral absorption of wavelength region 290 to 400 nm is measured in a methylene chloride solvent, the maximum absorption wavelength of the ultraviolet absorber is shorter than that of the ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer by 5 nm or more.
