Abstract:
To provide an optical film in which no foaming occurs during its extrusion molding, no whitening occurs when stretched, and further which is accompanied with a high level of manifestation of retardation, a retardation film, a polarizer protective film, and a polarizing plate.
The optical film is made of a maleimide based resin composition, and is characterized by having ΔTg (=Teg-Tig) of the composition to be 15°C or less, and further by having tensile elongation at break to be 3% or more in both of a MD (machine direction) and TD (transverse direction) of the film.
