To provide an optical filter which sufficiently absorbs side bands of emission spectrum of a red phosphor and can maintain initial filer performance for a long period of time in spite of exertion of the load of a heat history and an anti-reflection film having the excellent characteristics described above.
The optical filter laminated with a filter layer containing a pigment and a binder on a transparent support object contains a condensed polycyclic organic pigment in the filter layer and has an only absorption peak at 551 to 600 nm. The anti-reflection film laminated with the filter layer containing the pigment and the polymer binder, the transparent support object, and a low-refractive index layer having the refractive index lower than the refractive index of the transparent support object in this order contains the condensed polycyclic organic pigment in the filter layer and has the only absorption peak at 551 to 600 nm.
