Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter that improves the stability of optical communication when used for an optical communication device.SOLUTION: The optical filter comprises a polarizing plate, and is used for a transmitter of an optical communication device. The optical filter preferably further includes a λ/4 plate. An angle formed between an absorption axis of a polarizer of the polarizing plate and a slow axis of the λ/4 plate is 38° to 52°, and the λ/4 plate is arranged to be closer to a light-emitting element of the transmitter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
