Abstract:
To provide an optical filter having excellent light-shielding property against near infrared light, suppressing incident angle dependency for light incident at a high angle, particularly, reducing light leakage in a wavelength region of 800 to 900 nm at a high incident angle, and having a high transmittance of visible light and excellent light fastness, and an imaging apparatus excellent in color reproducibility using the above optical filter.SOLUTION: The optical filter has an absorption layer containing a squarylium dye (X) described below and a transparent resin, and a reflection layer comprising a dielectric multilayer film. The squarylium dye shows a molar absorptivity of 150000 [L/(mol cm)] or more in dichloromethane and a maximum absorption wavelength λof 800 to 870 nm, and in a spectral transmittance curve measured at a concentration that gives a transmittance of 10% at λ, an average transmittance from 550 to 650 nm is 90% or more and an average transmittance from 830 to 900 nm is 65% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
