Abstract:

To provide optical glass excellent in homogeneity with a small specific gravity, while having high refractive index high dispersion characteristic; and to provide an optical element comprising optical glass.SOLUTION: In optical glass, in terms of mass%, the content of SiO2 is 20-51%, the content of TiO2 is 20-40%, the content of Na2O is 5-28%, and the content of BaO is below 2.0%. In the optical glass, preferably, the refractive index nd is 1.67-1.77 and the Abbe number νd is 26-33, more preferably, the specific gravity is 3.40 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
