Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform fast seek by providing a notch in a middle yoke.
CONSTITUTION: The notch 7 is provided by dividing the middle yoke 2 into two bodies 2a, 2b in a center part. A magnetic field 9 when a current is permitted to flow on a coil 4 intends to pass the yokes 2a, 2b, therefore, the notch 7 functions as high magnetic resistance. When the magnetic resistance is increased, the time constant of a coil current when it rises is decreased. Thereby. since the rise of the current on the coil can be accelerated, a control band can be widened, and the fast seek can be performed.
