Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten seek time and to stabilize long-term use by passing the moving shaft of an optical head through a linear motor driving shaft and arranging the centers of the respective shafts on one straight line. CONSTITUTION:A hole 14 is provided on a driving force generating shaft 10 of a linear motor 9 and a moving shaft 2 of an optical head 1 is arranged so as to be passed through the hole 14. Thus, since the center of the linear motor driving shaft 10 and the center of the moving shaft 2 of the optical head 1 are arranged one straight line, the efficiency of effective driving force is made 100% and driving resistance is made zero as well. Then, the seek time is shortened. Further, since there is no side pressure to the moving shaft 2, the seek time can be made short and stable even to the long-term use as well.
