Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the adjusting work of linearity and the assembling workability of an optical head driven by a linear motor.
CONSTITUTION: The intermediate part of a carriage 4 is supported by a pole slide 8 so as to be freely slidable to the tracking direction of the optical head. A lens actuator 10 to drive an objective lens 3 to a focusing direction and the coil 11 of the linear motor to drive the same to the tracking direction are arranged at the right and the left about the central axis line of the pole slide 8. The linerality in a slide direction can be secured by adjusting only one pole slide, and the adjusting work is easy, and assembling can be easily executed as well.
