To obtain an optical image forming composition having improved chemical resistance and peelability by using a binder polymer containing a backbone having a specified proportion of anhydride residues partially half- esterified with a specified (meth)acrylate functional hydroxy-terminated oligomer.
The optical image forming composition contains a binder polymer containing a backbone having about 10-90 mol% anhydride residues. About 10 mol% of the anhydride residues have been half-esterified with a hydroxyl functional monomer or oligomer. The whole or part of the half-esterification is carried out with a (meth)acrylate functional hydroxyl-terminated oligomer of the formula, wherein A contains a chain formed from about 1-40 units of an about 1-20C alkoxylate monomer, B is not present or contains a chain formed from about 1-40 units of an about 1-20C alkoxylate monomer and C contains a chain formed from about 1-40 units of an about 2-21C lactone monomer.
