To provide a hybrid optical information recording medium which can be reproduced even by using a driver corresponding to an old standard optical information recording medium having less information recording layers and can increase its recording capacity by adding reproduction exclusive layers (ROM layers) or recordable layers (R layers) to the old standard optical information recording medium.
The optical information recording medium 200 is configured by stacking a transparent layer 10, a first information recording layer 20, an intermediate layer 30, a second information recording layer 40, and a substrate 50, all in this order from a reproduction light incident side. The first information recording layer 20 is the layer only to read the information, and the second information recording layer 40 is the layer including an area possible to rewrite the information. The first information recording layer 20 is light transmissive and its reflectivity is 0.4% or larger and 2.2% or smaller at a reproduction light wavelength.
