Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical instrument capable of suppressing vignetting due to light quantity adjustment at taking images, as well as reducing a drive sound generated at the light quantity adjustment in taking moving or still images, and also to provide a camera system.SOLUTION: An optical instrument is configured to guide light from a subject to an imaging device, and includes first light quantity adjustment means configured to change transmissivity of the light from the subject by a physical property change. At recording, without driving second light quantity adjustment means configured to mechanically change a transmitting area of the light from the subject, the first light quantity adjustment means is driven to adjust a light quantity of the light from the subject incident on the imaging device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
