Abstract:

To provide an optical interference cross-section endoscope apparatus able to increase the resolution of a tomographic image while maintaining the frame rate required for observation.

The optical interference cross-section endoscope apparatus including an endoscope, an interference light detecting part, and a tomographic image generating part, comprises: an optical probe configured to deflect measurement light at its leading end and emit the light so as to carry out rotation scanning, and guide the reflected light of the measurement light to an interference light detecting part from the leading end; a transparent member configured to transmit the measurement light to the leading end; a channel having a reflecting member for reflecting the measurement light, and configured to guide the optical probe along an insertion part so that the leading end of the optical probe faces the transparent member and reflecting member; a scanning position detecting section configured to detect the intensity of the reflected light of the measurement light, thereby detecting which one of the transparent member and reflecting member the measurement light is scanning; and scanning speed control means for controlling scanning speed of the measurement light emitted from the optical probe based on the detection result of the scanning position detecting part.
