To provide an optical irradiation device which is superior in operability, in which light having an approximately homogeneous output distribution can be irradiated onto an irradiated object, and in which assembling of a light guide member and a light homogenizing member is easy.
This is the optical irradiation device in which light from a light source 1 is irradiated onto the object via the light guide member, the light guide member is constituted of a light bundle fiber 2 which is a bundled-up light fibers, the light irradiation device is provided with the light homogenizing member 3 to approximately homogenize the output distribution of the light radiated from the light guide member, and the approximately homogenized light is irradiated onto a face 4 of the object. When a lens 5 is provided opposed to an emitting face 3b of the light homogenizing member 3, the homogeneous light output can be irradiated in the equal fold or a magnified fold. If necessary, the lenses 6, 7 are arranged between the light source 1 and the light bundle fiber 2, and between the light bundle fiber 2 and the light homogenizing member 3, and irradiation with less light loss is carried out by preventing leakage of the light.
