Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a repeater to easily extract a label independently of a data rate of a main signal light in an optical label multiplex transmitter that multiplexes control information (label) such as address information of a main signal light onto the main signal light and transmits the multiplexed light and can independently select the modulation frequency of the main signal light and the label. SOLUTION: The optical label multiplex transmission is provided with an optical branch means 13 that branches an optical signal with a prescribed wavelength into two, an optical modulation means that modulates the wavelength of one optical signal branched by the optical branch means at a low rate signal with control information (label) multiplexed thereon and an optical synthesizer 15 that synthesizes the other optical signal branched by the optical branch means with an optical signal outputted from the optical modulation means, and modulates a wavelength difference of the optical signals with a prescribed wavelength band by the low rate signal.
